Fall Mayfly Extravaganza!

Autumn vs Håvard: 2-2! I had a great fishing session today together with my friend Erlend Welde from Utras.net. We bumped into a huge mayfly hatch – for hours, great clusters of mayfly duns came pouring down the river. Autumn really is underrated. And this time I got some good video material too, so a… Read more »

Autumn vs Håvard: 2-1

Yep! I´ve been away playing for the last ten days, and haven´t fished at all. Back up north again, I went fishing for some ours today together with my friend Vegard Stormo. It was a beautiful autumn day with crisp, clear air and stunning colors, and we had a memorable session with several good fish… Read more »

Autumn vs Håvard: 1-0

Hi! I´ve started working on a new short film about autumn fly fishing above the arctic circle, and my plan was to go filming today. The forecast said sunny weather and no wind. Yeah right. This is what we got: I will not give in. Yes, I know that resistance is futile, and that autumn… Read more »

Jump!

Went fishing yesterday, and it wash´t half bad. Autumn is underrated. I stumbled onto a huge hatch of Bibio pomonae in one of my favorite rivers, and found a couple of really good fish that could´t resist the juicy black bugs, gulping them down at a steady pace. Here are some screenshots from the video… Read more »

Above Arctic Circle in B&W

Lucky 7

Hellau! Just back from the mountains after a half-day fishing trip. I was hoping to get some solo-filming done, but it was a little bit too windy up there – you need perfect conditions to make the solo-filming thing work. Still, the fishing was pretty good, and I caught 7 good brownies and arctic char… Read more »

Short Report

Hi! Still up north. Still fishing, taking photos and filming, trying to squeeze as much blog material as possible out of the way-too-short subarctic summer. I´ve had some really good fishing sessions during the last weeks, catching several good fish and even a couple of big ones on the dry fly. The high-jumping trout on… Read more »

Stuck in southern Sweden

If you red the last blog from us, you know about our expedition going on right now. Tapani is probably catching a huge trout as you red this. Håvard is dancing behind a tree. Joona is wrestling with a bear. Petzi is filming.. I´m just guessing since I´m not there. Quite a lot of gigs fell… Read more »

Back at the Upper Itchen

Ahhh. Finally back at the Upper Itchen! It´s great to be back up north again. Early summer is a magical time above the arctic circle, with nature exploding in the perpetual daylight. The transition between winter and summer is incredibly short – spring up here lasts for a couple of weeks – so everything is… Read more »

National Day, Bears And Plans

Greetings from Sweden! No picture this time, I’ll save them for later! Click on the blue text below to see the greeting card. This iphone-clip is from Dresden, and today we’re doing about the same thing in Gothenburg. This is how we are supposed to celebrate our own national day. On friday I will hopefully… Read more »
