Today: a Photo of a (fat) Fish

Fredrik, JFF´s own sea trout master, has been to one of his secret seatrout spots around Gothenburg again. He sent us this picture just to make us jealous. Guess what? It´s working, Fred! And what a beautiful fish! Since he is an accomplished chef, I´m sure he´s already made a tasty meal out of it…. Read more »

The Silver Rush

Here’s my answer to Håvard’s video gear madness. Chaplin didn’t have the super colors and stereo mics, we don’t need them either. But the music! Duke Ellington and his orchestra played jazz when jazz was young and the fish were big. And Fredrik’s monster trout is finally revealed here!

Today: a Photo

As we´ve written earlier, Fredrik is a true Renaissance man. He´s the kind of guy that can do anything – without really trying. This photo was taken yesterday with his trusty Nikon D90. I think it looks really cool. Fred is sleeping right now after a rough night, but I guess he´ll explain a little… Read more »

Fredrik's singing lesson #1

Fredrik, the supertalented genius of the band, is not only a great drummer and flyfisherman, but also one of the best chefs I know, a real athlete, painter, photographer, author, and last but not least, singer. Here he shows something not many people can do: sing the lowest C-note that is on the piano. Simply… Read more »

JFF lifestyle, part II

Here’s a glimpse of one of the fishing trips me and Fredrik did last week. It was the first week of the sea trout season and despite mostly cold and windy weather we had some nice moments of sunshine. I also got a chance to test my new JFF-camera: it’s a GoPro HD Hero videocamera… Read more »

Spring Depression…

… or maybe you can call it pre-spring depression. Do you recognize the following things: 1. The food doesn’t taste as much as usual. Everything you eat feels like chewing grandmas one week old porridge. 2. You cannot sleep very good, every night you wake up and scream (very loud horrible sounds). 3. When you… Read more »

The Olympics, Dalarna and Juha Mieto

Well, we finally got word from Fredrik. Apparently he is cross country skiing in Dalarna, Sweden. We had an interesting debate about the olympics last night. As you might have noticed, things are not going too well for the Norwegians so far. The Swedes, on the other hand… Here´s our correspondence from last night: From:… Read more »

Ice Age

My computer is a bit strange right now and it does not allow me to upload any pics. Since I’m in a hurry this blog will be a bit weird. The ice is tooooo thick around Gothenburg, we will not be able to fish for at least one month, that is for sure! Aaaahh! The last week… Read more »

2010

I just finnished my brittish-influenced breakfest. Eggs, bacon… A bit too much coffe on top of that makes my hands a bit shaky. It is very cold now, around minus 15 (celsius) and the ice is thick on all the lakes around Gothenburg. Even the ocean is covered by a white lid in big areas…. Read more »

One Last Fishing Trip Before The Winter Is Here

The winter comes and goes. Last week it was about minus 3 degrees, this week its 10 degrees warmer. Strange but true. It’s hard to make the right choise when it comes to the clothes. To warm clothes – you’ll end up as a melting cheese. Very often a gorgonzola. To thin jacket and you… Read more »
